Zsolnay porcelánból készült váza.Kézzel festett, eosin mázzal.Cseresznyés díszítéssel. A felső része áttört. Magassága: 14 cm.

Az eosin az aranyszíntől a rózsabogár zöldig színjátszó, fényesen csillogó, vagy matt kerámiamáz. Az elnevezés a görög eos szóból ered, melynek jelentése hajnal, hajnalpír. Az eosin Éoszról, a hajnal istennőjéről kapta a nevét.Az eosint 1890-es években fejlesztette ki Zsolnay Vilmos- Petrik Lajos a budapesti Ipariskola igazgatójának és Wartha Vince a műegyetem professzorának a segítségével.A számos eosin - szín mellet  több kivitelezési eljárást is kifejlesztettek a Zsolnay Gyárban, például kézzel festett, maratott, márványozott eosinok. 1893-tól gyártja a cég az eosint.
